Jimmy and Kim Garland, along with our daughters Savannah and Gigi, are the heart and soul of Aussie Opals.
Our journey began simply — watching Outback Opal Hunters on the Discovery Channel. There was something captivating about the miners, the vast Australian landscape, and most of all, the incredible opals they unearthed.
That curiosity sparked a passion that quickly grew into an obsession. We started learning everything we could about opals — their geology, their history, how to cut and polish them, and what makes Australian opal so uniquely special.
Today, Aussie Opals is a family endeavour where we all play a part. From selecting stones to crafting jewellery, every piece reflects our shared love for these magnificent gems.
